Sharon Woodworth
Sharon Woodworth, FAIA, ACHA, has joined the San Francisco office of national architecture and engineering firm Harley Ellis Devereaux (HED) co-leading the national healthcare design practice as studio leader. Woodworth is an accomplished architect with more than 20 years of experience that builds on her earlier career as a nurse and her ongoing work as an educator. This unique personal background and experience makes her an exceptional asset to clients across the healthcare sector. She provides an integrated perspective on care and the care environment that includes the latest research on stakeholder engagement, planning efficiencies, wellness and healing, and evidence-based design strategies. Prior to joining HED, Woodworth operated her own consultancy and worked with national architecture firms. She is an Assistant Professor at UCSF, where she teaches “Leadership in Healthcare Environments” to those earning a Master’s in healthcare administration.
