Daryn Kumar

Daryn Kumar is the new chief executive officer of Memorial Medical Center in Modesto, California where he previously managed the 423-bed hospital at the northeast corner of Briggsmore Avenue and Coffee Road. Kumar has worked for Sutter Health since 2004 and most recently served as interim CEO for Sutter Medical Center in Sacramento. He was also chief operating officer at Sutter Roseville Medical Center. Kumar was formerly an assistant administrator at Sutter Delta Medical Center in Antioch and worked at Tenet Healthcare facilities in the Bay Area. With bachelor and master degrees in business administration, he began his health care career in the military, serving as a radiological technologist in the U.S. Air Force and the reserves for 15 years. Kumar served on the board of the CALSTAR nonprofit air ambulance service and participates in the March of Dimes, American Heart Association and American Cancer Society.
