Peggy Sebastian

Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) has named Peggy Sebastian, MSN, the new president and CEO of HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville, Ill. Sebastian has served as president and CEO of HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital in Highland, Ill., since 2009 and will begin her new position at St. Elizabeth’s on Jan. 18. She has more than 35 years of experience in health care administration and oversaw St. Joseph’s construction project that relocated, built and opened a new $63 million hospital and office building. She has served as chief patient care officer and vice president in charge of operations at separate hospitals as well as the assistant administrator for two hospitals. Sebastian was president and CEO of Sebastian Group, a health care consulting company that specializes in new facility construction and operational planning. She holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Illinois, a Master of Science in Nursing from Loyola University and a master’s degree in business administration from Illinois State University.
