Patient Fees Lowered at Cleveland Regional Medical Center

CLEVELAND, Texas — Fees for medical services at Cleveland Regional Medical Center were recently lowered by 15 percent in an effort to save millions of dollars.

New Directions Health Systems LLC, the Louisville, Ky.-based company that owns and operates the facility, lowered the costs of all services in the following medical divisions: cardiopulmonary, labor and delivery, dietary, obstetrical, emergency and trauma, operating room and post anesthesia, intensive care, respiratory and medical and surgical.

All fees associated with medical supplies will also be reduced by 15 percent.

If the initiative had been applied to services in the last six months, patients would have saved more than $4.8 million, according to the company.

The medical center houses a 107-bed medical surgical acute care facility and offers a range of medical and diagnostic services to the region.

“Great healthcare should be affordable,” said Patrick Ayers, president of New Direction Health Systems. “We are committed to helping the Cleveland community and this is just one of many positive changes we will make in the upcoming years.”
