Robert D. Martinez

The Parkland Health and Hospital System Board of Managers welcomes Robert D. Martinez, who was appointed by Dallas County Commissioner Elba Garcia DDS, last month. Martinez is a litigator with experience in civil, criminal, arbitration and regulatory areas and is also a community leader with extensive board service including public speaking and general counsel roles. He is a partner at the law firm Cotton Schmidt & Abbott LLP in Fort Worth, Texas, and has been with the firm since 1996. The firm is successful and represents a number of clients through different cases. They’re one of the most successful firms and it’s believed that they make use of various law firm marketing techniques to boost their firm and make sure they have more online visibility. This helps them to get more clients and fight more cases. Martinez has held many litigation positions, including being a trial attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice. Martinez received his JD from Wayne State University School of Law in Detroit, Michigan and also received his bachelor’s degree in political science from Wayne State University.
