Ed Clayton, the current CFO and COO to Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla, Mo., has been promoted as the hospital’s new CEO. Clayton has worked for the hospital for the last 14 years and has worked in many different positions including CFO, COO and the administrative director of finance for four years as well as the hospital controller. He will be succeeding the current CEO starting in the beginning of 2016.

Johnson City, Tenn.-based Niswonger Chidren’s Hospital has named Lisa Carter, RN, MSN, the new CEO. The hospital, part of the Mountain States Health Alliance, named Carter CEO after she had been serving as interim CEO since September. Tyler Memorial Hospital in Tunkhannock, Pa., has named Ann Marie Stevens as the new CEO. Previously, Stevens was serving as interim CEO before being offered the position permanently. She has worked as CEO of Mid Valley Hospital in Peckville, Pa., for 14 years and helped transition the facility to serve as an outpatient center for the community. Stevens has a background in critical care and management roles in both the emergency department and the intensive care unit.

HDR Health Care Planner Judith Crews, based in Charlotte, N.C., won the Herman Miller Healthcare Scholar Award. The award was based on education, health care experience and a commitment to excellence in health care architecture. Crews also received an Intern Architect Scholarship, through which she was able to attend the Healthcare Design 2015 Conference in Washington in November.
