MIAMI—Real estate investment and development firm MAS AJP announced in late June a partnership with Flagler Healthcare Solutions, a firm specializing in healthcare real estate investment, asset management, and brokerage.

Led by founding partners Alberto J. Pérez and Juan Carlos “J.C.” Mas of MAS AJP and Chris Coots of Flagler Healthcare Solutions, the joint venture, titled FLAGLER MAS AJP, brings together two of South Florida’s leading healthcare real estate players, united by a shared mission to foster healthier communities and create buildings that enhance wellness.

FLAGLER MAS AJP will expand their portfolio with the development of five Class A medical office buildings in Florida. These buildings will be forthcoming locations for MedSquare®, modern medical office facilities created by MAS AJP.

“MedSquare® will fill a geographical gap for health professionals looking to better serve their patients, and we couldn’t think of a more qualified partner than Flagler Healthcare Solutions to help us grow and expand the MedSquare® brand experience,” stated Alberto J. Pérez, founding partner of FLAGLER MAS AJP and managing principal of MAS AJP.

This strategic alignment aims to bolster FLAGLER MAS AJP’s market position in the healthcare sector, ensuring the delivery of comprehensive and modern real estate solutions to meet the evolving needs of the ever-changing healthcare provider and operator. This partnership combines MAS AJP’s construction and development expertise with Flagler Healthcare Solutions’ innovative, data-driven investment services, and leverages their experience managing more than $1 billion in healthcare assets globally.

“With over two decades in the healthcare real estate industry, Flagler’s principals have owned, developed, and managed various assets across the continuum of care, including inpatient, outpatient, and post-acute care facilities,” stated Chris Coots, founding partner of FLAGLER MAS AJP and Flagler Healthcare Solutions. “As owners and advisors of over 5 million square feet transacted, we quickly recognized the obsoleteness of the majority of existing medical properties in the U.S. and realized the dire need for new class A medical buildings in the marketplace. Healthcare is ever-changing, and in today’s world, it is essential to have access to state-of-the-art medical technology and provide a holistic environment where the highest quality of care can be delivered. Partnering with MAS AJP, we truly believe we have realized the final piece in building the best in class real estate solutions for the healthcare industry.”

FLAGLER MAS AJP will provide comprehensive business planning, construction management, leasing, and facility management services to bring its MedSquare® projects from conception to completion.

Boasting a contemporary design and state-of-the-art amenities, the new MedSquare® developments will be meticulously designed and constructed to cater specifically to the needs of healthcare practices. The first three locations are slated to break ground in fall 2024 in the Westchester neighborhood of Miami, Port St. Lucie and Boynton Beach.
